Both .75 inch but then they opened up the rest of the day. I let it cool 5-15 minutes and doesnt seem to make a difference. Could just be me but after 600+ rounds id think im ok. Replaced front bags with bipod thinking added weight would help. Neck sized only new unfired brass and reloaded 4 times, neck sized only, always chambered easily.</p>
<p>Gotta say it&#039;s a little deceiving when the (expensive) Nosler brass box says &#8220;Fully prepped, ready to load&#8221;.</p>

Now it fits very snug. I&#039;m hoping all this will solve my accuracy problem with the 270win.</p>

I ended up ordering the Mountain Tactical version and they say its .240&#8243; so that would give me .002&#8243; play between action mortise and lug.</p>
<p>How much play do you recommend between the lug and action. And why should there be any play???</p>

<p>Six replies and not a single one with measurements. If anyone out there has a dial caliper, could I get the stock lug thickness and if you have an aftermarket one, that dimension as well? Thank you!</p>

There are writeups on how to. You can pull your mag apart if you look at the two pins on each side near the bottom. I pried mine apart using my hulk strength 😉</p>

They have different velocites, so I would guess there is a difference somewhere. Differing granule size makes sense, since they do share the same MSDS sheet.</p>

<p>I think your muzzle brake may be helping with accuracy because of the reduced recoil and increased rigidity. I shot 90 rounds today and my first 30 were my lower charges and they all shot 1/2 inch to 3/4 inch 3 shot groups.</p>

First, focus your reticle till crisp. Then adjust parallax according to your range (100 yards in your case). Your parallax should not be noticeable.</p>

<p>I was not measuring anything, just eyeballing. It could very well be shooter psychology. I am much more focused shooting 300 yards than 100. I just enjoy it more so put more effort into it, now that I think of it.</p>

I do think you are wrong though. The magazine can be modified for longer bullets. So can the bolt stop. I wasent asking about that. I was just verifying (for those who reload) if i should expect any seating issues with longer bullets.</p>
