FFP vs 2nd focal plane scopes
Hi guys, I've been busy this summer traveling and leaf and fruit sampling ( I'm a crop consultant for fruit growers in MN and surrounding). So… Now that things are slowing down a bit I can focus on the important stuff- namely shooting and hunting!
As some of you may know I bought a 6.5×55 T3 Sporter this summer and have been waiting on the MT gen 2 +20 pic rail so I can share my Vortex PST 6-24x FFP with this 6.5 and my .223 in same model.
I just today got the rail and can see that I will want to get a dedicated scope for this rifle.
My question to you folks is: should I get a similar scope with 2nd focal plane instead of 1st For long range target and hunting. I don't need the ranging advantages of the FFP and the retical of the FFP PST is quite small at low magnification, and somewhat large at high magnification.
