Ok let’s just agree to disagree
If there is a political aspect to Tikka rifles I don’t know it.
I will not try to understand the finlander’s perspective of rifle performance other than it seems to make our understanding of “good “ a bit lacking. -

I’m not cleare that any issue has been solved or addressed.
Let’s acknowledge that AU shipping is tricky.
David Waters is known to be honorable.(my experience)
Any concerns with his business model should be tested and compared with other AU vendors.
What else can I or others make judgement on?
I will do business with David Waters again.

Please, quit beating a dead horse. The issue, pro or con no longer serves any useful purpose. :-X

I just purchased a magazine for my tikka 308 m595 off Waters Rifleman and it didn’t click into place. My rifle is stock standard. I measured both magazine receiver latch tang with digital vernier calipers and there’s a 1.4mm difference between the two. No wonder the Waters Rifleman magazine doesn’t click in. I ofcourse emailed them and David said he couldn’t understand why, him stating out of 200+ units produced I’m the first to complain. He said he’d like to have a look at it and to separate “the noise” from the problem. I thought what “noise”?? The measurements aren’t the same. Anyhow he said he’d be travelling the next few weeks and won’t be contactable. Thst was almost 2 months and a couple of emails to him since has gone unanswered. His cistomer service is appalling. He should man up, answer his emails, give me a full refund or fix the magazine. As I live here in Sydney, Australia I offered to deliver it to him in person.

i sympathise, but no one else in the world is making quality replacement magazines for Tikkas, including Tikka itself. $185, that is $120 american, for a replacement mag for your ancient rifle is a good deal. You said yourself why he’s not answering emails. You said you just bought it. You said he’s away for the next few weeks. Be patient. You are getting something you can’t get elsewhere. I hate waiting as well. I ordered a BLR replacement magazine from Cleavers. As in the past, when you order more than one type of item at a time, if it doesn’t jump out at them, they’ll send half your order and cancel the rest of the order and charge $18 regardless. So I waited and ordered the mag all by itself. Suddenly it was in stock. I did this with sierra roo-king projectiles. Made the mistake of ordering them with another item the first time. Second time I ordered them separately, and suddenly they were in stock. But I’m not getting upset because I’m getting a good deal on certain specific, unobtainium items. I hope you get a replacement magazine. The one I got four years ago in 6.5×55 is perfect. Tikka, for the same money wants to sell me a plastic one with less capacity. I’m patiently waiting for this bloke to make a 30-06 6 shot magazine batch so I can buy one. Where else am I gonna get a metal version for less than the manufacturer charges? So I’ll wait I guess.

He refused a return on me despite what his website said. Item completely unused installed by my gunsmith. Had the item less than a week. Became instantly scary… Long insulting rants. Guys insane. I kinda think he is broke and didn’t have the money to return.

6 Oct 2025.
I live in Australia and shoot long range here in Qld. I needed SRLB’s for our, (at the time) , Qty 4 x Tikka T3X TAC A1. I ordered 4 SRLB’s from Waters. Did not use initially when received. After a couple of months we got around to using them, or should I say…….. trying to use them….!!!
Only 1 fitted the other 3 would not insert. As they cost me just under a $100 with postage for the 4, I was not interested in wasting time to take it any further.
Just put it down to bad luck of having bought a crap product, and a bad experience from this seller. That is, until I was talking to a club member, who suggested that I should at least contact Waters and inform him that they could not be used and that his products had a problem.
I did just that.
I informed Waters that I was NOT looking for a refund for a measly $100, but I wanted to let him know that out of his 4 SRLB’s, only 1 actually worked. I contacted him by email and sent videos clearly showing 3 would not insert
Dave told me he would investigate as to what the problem could be, and he would get back to me in a few hours…!!!… that was 3 weeks ago. Never heard anymore from him even after my following him up, which was ignored
We now have an additional 2 of T3X TAC A1 ( Total of Qty 6 T3X TAC A1…… Qty 3 x 6.5 creedmoor & Qty 3 x 223).
I now require a total of 5 SRLB.
3 to replace the 3 useless ones that I bought from Waters that do not work, plus another 2.
One seller I will NOT be going to buy any SRLB’s in future from is Waters Rifleman.
My purchasing experience from Waters Rifleman of having only 1 usable SRLB out of 4 , is that the product that I was sold, is not usable and is therefore rubbish .
Not sure what the rest of his other products are like , but, if you are in the market for Tikka T3X TAC A1, SRLB’s….Do not buy from him.

<font color=”#4d5c6d”><font face=”Roboto”><font size=”3″>I have to
update my earlier message where I castigated Dave regarding my SRLB
for my Tikka T3 X TAC A1’s.</font></font></font><font color=”#4d5c6d”><font face=”Roboto”><font size=”3″>Dave misplaced
our correspondence. </font></font></font><font color=”#4d5c6d”><font face=”Roboto”><font size=”3″>I heard from
him recently noting that he had found the correspondence and was
getting back to me.</font></font></font><font color=”#4d5c6d”><font face=”Roboto”><font size=”3″>To cut a long
story short, I returned the 3 faulty and 1 good SRLB to him so he
could establish the reason why one of them worked perfectly and the
other 3 did not. He also asked how many Tikka TAC A1’s I now
had. I mentioned I had 6</font></font></font><font color=”#4d5c6d”><font face=”Roboto”><font size=”3″>Within a week
of receiving my returns he sent back the SRLB that I had sent him as
well as another 2 SLRB at no additional cost . A total of 6.</font></font></font><font color=”#4d5c6d”><font face=”Roboto”><font size=”3″>I take this
opportunity to apologise and take back the disparaging comments I
made before. </font></font></font><font color=”#4d5c6d”><font face=”Roboto”><font size=”3″>The fault lay
not in his not wanting to help, but in his misplacing the
correspondence, when found he contacted me and resolved the problems.</font></font></font>
