I have bought several guns on line due to availability and have had no problems. In fact, I just bought one from you last week and everything worked out great.

I have had the same problem with my CTR. I removed the spring from the magazine release and stretched it a little. So far that has worked but I have only fired about 20 rounds so far. I also found a spring assortment at Brownell's and have that on order. Hopefully there will be a spring in the kit that will work for me.

First focal plane has become dominant in Precision Long Range shooting matches. I would recommend that you consider that. If you have a reticle that you can use for windage it will only be accurate at a specific magnification if you go with 2nd focal plane. If your reticle does not have a windage scale it is a non issue.

Check out the SWFA Super Sniper line. The fixed power scopes are only $299. I have the 10X, 12X and 3-15. All three work great. the 3-15 is $699. I know the name sounds hokey but the glass is good and the dial up on the turrets is totally repeatable.

I have had very good luck with IMR4350 on multiple rifles. It may not be as temperature stable as H4350 but accuracy usually isn't lacking. How do your primers look after firing. I would also recommend the SWFA 10X for what you describe. I have a 10X, a 12X and now a 3-15X SWFA and they are awesome scopes for the price. Although you only describe shooting paper at up to 100 yards, if you get the opportunity to shoot at some longer ranges, you will really appreciate the tactical knobs. I just put a brake on mine. I'll have to save up for a suppressor. Any problem with the suppressor threading up to the rifle? I noticed when I put my brake on that the threads are pressed in and not cut so at first the brake was stopping on the thicker shank rather than on the shoulder like I wanted. I use Lapua brass in my .260 CTR with no problems at all. I highly recommend Lapua brass over any of the other brands I have tried.

Those are some nice groups! What bullet are you using? I would be interested in what kind of velocities you get with RL17 and the 20″ barrel in the CTR. I also have the CTR in .260. I have been using IMR4350 with 140 Nosler Custom Competitions. Accuracy is excellent but I haven't worked up to the velocity I expect yet.

I put a muzzle brake on my CTR in .260 and if anything accuracy was improved. I have only tried it on one load however but have shot a .35″ 5 shot group with it. The recoil is pretty much straight back now and pretty mild. I haven't shot off of a bipod yet. I think I will be able to watch my own impacts at least at longer ranges.

I just got back from the range after installing a muzzle brake on my CTR in .260. Recoil is dramatically reduced. I know it is somewhat subjective but the recoil on the bags is much more manageable than my 6.5×47 Lapua that weighs 13.5 lbs. I have a new CTR in .260 as well. Amazing rifle! The only load work up I have done was 140g Nosler Custom Competitions with IMR4350. I worked up using the book loads in the Nosler #7 manual and found best accuracy at 40.8 grains (Lapua brass). I have already gotten a couple of 5 shot 1/2 groups with this load.
