LH .308 sporter is crazy accurate
I took my pretty new LH 24″ .308 sporter to the 100 yard range today to test some loads. I'm down to 1 lb of varget but have approximately 22 lbs of H335 so I loaded up some lapua brass with 168 amax and loaded 5 rounds each with 41.2, 41.4, 41.6, 41.9 and 42.1 grains H335. All of the loads went under 3/4″ with the 41.2 shooting 3/4″ high (compared to my varget load), the 41.4 load was about 3/8″ high and the other three were poa. The 41.6 seemed to be the sweet spot hitting right around a 1/2″ group. And this is off a bipod with a rear bag. I think I will load up 50 rounds or so and hit the 200, 300 yard range next and develop some dope. All I can say is wow I really love this rifle. What a shooter and what a value. I'm also digging the minox 5-25 x 55 TAC. It's a great scope for the money.
