Sending my CTR in for repair :(
Posted by onbadmofo on February 10, 2015 at 12:16 amI got my CTR last Wed đ went to shoot it Sat and the roll pin that held in the mag release just kept falling out đ so I got out the duct tape and placed a small piece on each side of the pin to hold it in while I tried it out, I called today thinking they could just send me a pin or bottom plate but they said to keep my warr I need to send it to them and I should get it back in about 3 weeks :(……… I shot around 40 to 50 rounds and it shot very well .75 to 1.00 @ 100 then I dialed in my scope for 500 yrds and hit the 12 in plate on the first shot đ
So I will be without my CTR for awhile.Sorry for all the faces but I had to have some fun with this or I'd cry :'(….LOL

I'm glad you had some fun shooting it before you had to send it back. That does take the fun out of it. Keep us posted on how they treat you on the warranty repair.

Oh, man, that's a bummer that you have to send it back. Do you have something else to shoot while it's gone?

O ya this last weekend I was working on loads for the Tikka and Savage .308…. the real bummer is I was real close on a load for the Tikka now I have to wait 3 weeks it find out. But it should be warmer by then also.

I know what you mean. I was just at the range trying to put a zero on my T3 light in .270 and just got it into the center diamonds about the time the range closed.
Pro Tip: Don't try to rely on a 'zero' you achieve while it's blowing 20 with gusts to 30. Your precision sighting in target sort of moves a little.
