I think it’s a great round , when I started with it it was expensive to reload ( I’m in England ) it’s getting cheaper, great ballistics at 1km has more energy left than 300 win mag , I didn’t believe this at first so check it out and it was correct , if you like experimenting with reload there’s lots to check out , the new thing to compare is ether small or large primer pocket , you can get the speed over 3000 ft/s but might be at the expense of accuracy , I’m running at 800 m/s great grouping and easily out to 1km using my last .123 a-max’s and 140 gn nosler custom comps , next when I get the barrel swapped out I’ll be trying nosler 140 rdf there getting good reports over here ,
Also the recoil is very soft -

Looks like an older T3 to me still a great rifle you just need to swop out the recoil lug for a steel one and just make sure the barrels fully floated

I nearly the same has you but I clean after every shot for the first 5 then the same has you , also you’ve opened a can of worms asking this lol

Caliber ?

Firstly great caliber , has for the lite or the ctr it’s realy down to you and your ability to carry a heavier rifle , but if it was me it would be the ctr , there’s been lots of people go with the lite and then start adding muzzle breaks etc and ending u with a rifle that has quite a bit of extra weight , and you have only the day sac to carry I wouldn’t of though a ctr carried with a sling would be a problem

You are correct the Manuel is wrong , I’ve forgotten what it should be , hopefully somebody will be along and tell you the correct setting , has for the bottom metal if you Uk try tier-one if your USA mountain tactical if your somewhere else ether one , I’d also replace the screws with mountain tactical ones, if it’s a new rifle you could try and complain to the importer and see if you can get it replaced by them !

The stocks for the T3 will fit the T3x , and by the way welcome ,

I cannot see that they’ed be any difference in accuracy between the two stocks has the barrel is /should be fully floated , the only think think you might have to watch is the torque on the action screws on the wooden stock depends if there’s pillers in there or not

My understanding is if it’s a lite the only difference is the diameter of the barrel , there quite thin and will heat up fast , the barrel diameter on a varmit is quite a bit larger

You’ll just have to buy some and try them through the gun , what works for one gun might not work in another , but if you use the same round for target and range he’ll get more of understanding on where the bullet will hit with a given distance and wind / weather conditions , also is it worth the hassle putting cheap ammo through a good rifle for me it seams a waste of a good barrel

First of all have you tried a differant recoil pad and a muzzle break both will help with felt recoil without the expense of a new stock

Interesting , I might be wrong here in my thinking is that if it’s melting and spinning , it will still shoot true because the melting will be uniform ,
Also good group sunshine , if you want / need to play about there’s good results changing the seating depths -

Lots of people are getting great results over here because of the great ballistics especially from 800metre out to over 1.5 Km still don’t believe the old A-max tips were melting , I’ve not been shown any data except from Hornady , but it’s a great marketing tool to get people to change lol
