Also if you swop out the bottom metal you could change the mags , if the reason to change out the bottom metal is you think it will be more ridged I would bother

I wouldn’t worry about the mag , just get the rifle and swop out the tikka mag for one of mountain tactical metal ones

First thing to check is if the barrels fully floated all the way to the action ,

Welcome you should get great accuracy as with any Tikka , as for a scope have a look at the cheaper Minox or second hand European scope

If you reloading your own you need to adjust your die , if there factory try a different maker some manufactures make there rounds to the max on the sammi spec like ppu and the chamber in your rifle might be a little tight.

Tikka Shooters Forum favicon icon 296 Bullseyes

I give mountain tactical a phone or email , there very busy at the moment so might have stopped listing the gunsmith work just to reduce the flow , if I was in the USA they would be my only call when it comes to Tikka’s

Good plan if your going to reload start looking for h4350 powder it’s the best for anything 6.5 it’s a pity it’s being banned over here in England and Europe , might be available once’s we leave the Eu but I doubt it

Got to say my next rifle will also be a .260 the A1 Tac , has it’s easier to get speed and accuracy because of the large case capacity , over here for a .260 you have to reload your own don’t know about where you are , you pays your money and make YOUR choose
