T3X Hunter question
I am considering a new rifle (Merry Christmas to me ). I have T3X lite in .308 and I have really become a Tikka fan.
I am partial to a nice wood stock, as well as 7mm-08 caliber. (White tail hunting and lots of range shooting.) So, I am I am thinking of a Tikka T3X Hunter in 7mm-08. Does anyone have experience with the T3X Hunter? Most important to me is whether there are accuracy differences between the synthetic stock and the wood? I don't think I want the Hunter unless I can be as accurate with it as I am with my current Tikka. I am no great shot-yet, but I am better with my .308 Tikka than anything I've had prior.
Any info/thoughts on differences between the Hunter and the Lite would be greatly appreciated.

I cannot see that they’ed be any difference in accuracy between the two stocks has the barrel is /should be fully floated , the only think think you might have to watch is the torque on the action screws on the wooden stock depends if there’s pillers in there or not

The wood stocks have full “free” floated barrels right to the action.
The synthetic stocks on both the T3 & T3x models have a pinch point starting about 2″ in front of the barrel.
The severity of it depends on the mold process during manufacturing. They are only free floated to this point…I've always sanded this area on all my synthetic stock T3″s to free float the barrels right to the action, and it helped with accuracy when shooting multiple shot groups, especially on the larger calibers. People still debate this issue but its only been positive for me.
You also need to look at the area where the sling swivel stud in on the forearm.
There is a reinforcing wall that has a barrel track cut out of it…Some synthetic stock do not have this centered around the barrel and maybe touching one side or the bottom…make sure you have clearance there as well. -
i would also consider having it pillar bedded, then there will be no change in zero and allow you to torque your action screws and keep them snug at the appropriate pounds, Every one of my wood stock guns are pillar bedded and the recoil lug and action glass bedded and point of impact never changes regardless of hot/cold, dry/wet weather.
