You need to push that bullet alot harder than you are with 37 gr of Varget.

You said in your first video that it has been happening since it was new. You should have had it taken care of while it was under warranty.
Without seeing it in person, I'd guess it's a magazine issue.

1) Fluting is a waste of money, and weight you need for shooting LR. Spend the fluting money on a good bedding job.
2) NightForce NXS 5.5-22 out to 600, NXS 8-32 out to 1,000 and beyond. And…2nd focal plane for LR target shooting.

Any time I have primed cases and I need to change something, I take them outside, chamber them, and shoot them. Then de-prime and start over. If neighbors are an issue, I stick the barrel in a 5 gal bucket, and shoot them in the garage.

1/2 lifesize mount. 7MM-08 with 120 NBT's at 250 yards…between the eyes. Only shot I had.

Another suggestion would be Talley Lightweight One Piece rings. The “Lows” will still work with your 30mm tube.

You'll notice alot of difference in shootability. I have one on my .284 ( 11-12 more grains of powder than .308) and it kicks like a .243.

The fact that you posted this shows you are concerned…as you should be. If it was a mistake, fix it. If not, I have to ask, “why did you do that?”.

Welcome, Tim. To me, it's worth it to have the stainless model, just for the “survivability”.
Difference in performance?……………..no.

Welcome Matt! There's no magic to cooling down a barrel. You just have to wait 1-2 minutes between shots. One thing I do that works well, and works even better if there's a breeze…is I take out the bolt between shots, and set it down on a towel.
Bring some food and drink, and relax while you're letting the barrel cool. Or text your buddies. ;D
