If you have the owners manual, it shows you how to take the follower and spring out. It's very easy. Pop it out, and have a look. Maybe need to sand a burr.

35 inch lbs. is plenty, and I would NEVER go above 45 inch lbs. Especially on the wood stocks.

Hello,
Can I just drop a round in the ejection port and close the bolt? Will it feed smoothly without feeding from the magazine?
I have never had trouble dropping a round in, and racking it, onto an EMPTY magazine. I've done it hundreds of times breaking in new barrels.
