Other than the bolt handle being on the wrong side,  ;D I bet you'll be happy with it.

Tikka rifles come from the factory with a 3 shot-1″ accuracy at 100 yards guarantee. Send it back to be looked at. Contact Beretta to see where to send it and get a return authorization number.

I tried a Hawke once. The glass was clear, but clarity didn't go all the way to the edge. It got fuzzy all around the edge of the circle.

For your rifle, I might suggest a Leupold 6.5-20, or 8.5-25 with a target dot reticle. I have the 8.5-25, and use it on every rifle for load developement when I switch bullets, and whip up new loads. Nothing I don't like about it, and it tracks perfectly.

You should be able to find a T3 Varmint in .308…and away you go.

Go to the websites of various barrel manufacturers, and read their suggestions. Shilen, Krieger, Bartlein, Lilja, etc. all have, or have had stuff on it.

I'm still shooting mine in F/TR Competition at 600 yards. I won the state championship in the Sharp Shooter division last year with my factory Super Varmint.

Throat wore .020 after 700 rounds, and seems to have stabilized. I had it out two days ago and it's still shooting in the 3's at 100.

I put a big BR NightForce on that needed Medium rings for clearance with the 56MM objective, and with the adjustable cheeck piece, 3 notches up gives me good cheek weld. Another season starts tonight…

A close up picture would help.

    What if the rifle dropped?

    Best regards
    Rintano

If you're worried about your rifle going off if you drop it, perhaps you should carry it with an empty chamber. You ARE doing that, right? 😉

Welcome to the forum. VX3 is a good way to go. Look into some Talley Lightweight one piece rings and you should be set.

    Where in MN are you?

That is a very, very nice stock. I have not seen checkering like that. The stainless barreled action looks great in it!

Whose bolt shroud is on it?

10-4. No, I guess that wouldn't work. I sent him some pics of the bottom of the actions. Heck, I'd buy half a dozen if he'd make 'em. They really are sweet.

Well, just an idea. I'll get you some pics of the GOTM next week. It'll be laying on top of some dead hogs…hopefully.

Thanks for looking into the stocks.
