Unique T3 Walnut stock!
I recently purchased a T3 with this unique stock. I've never seen this checkering on a Tikka T3 stock before. The wood has nice figuring. I transferred my SS 6.5×55 to this stock and am very pleased with it. Anyone else seen a stock like this or any other unique Tikka T3 wood stocks?

That is a very, very nice stock. I have not seen checkering like that. The stainless barreled action looks great in it!
Whose bolt shroud is on it?

Thanks Yukonal. The first thing that I noticed when I got this stock in my hands, was that it is lighter than the current hunter stock. Also, the quality of the walnut is better. I think Tikka did a trial of these stocks early, but dropped them in favor of the current design. I wish it had been the other way around!
The shroud came from “vertebra shop” (sp?) on ebay. I bought a couple from him and fit, finish, quality are excellent. He doesn't have any listed right now but does so periodically. I also bedded a SS recoil lug in this stock. -
