Definitely do not do business with Helmick Arms!
This guy took over 20 of our customer's money and never delivered any stocks. He has disappeared. Even the Sheriff in his little town could not track him down.
My guess is he took off for the oil fields.
He owes people in Australia over 50 stocks.
Beware of Chad Helmick!

I just tested the email link under his name and it brings up a private email. If you have further trouble, can you copy and paste the error message into an email for me? Send it to and I'll have the tech guys look at it.
I like the handles too and would love to sell them in the store for him.

I'd second YukonAl. The B&Cs that come through here are hit or miss.
Everyone of the ones we've sold needed work before the rifle could be mounted correctly.

That's a great looking family you've got there!
Welcome to Tikka Shooters!

Hey Al,
I drink my fair share of coffee but it's usually on the run! Being a gun guy trying to play programmer is not easy.
And I still have all the notes to finish the write up on your awesome rifle on my desk.
Tomorrow we start moving into our larger facility so I should finally be able to sit down and publish it by next weekend.

JDBoy – I'm flush with T3 extended mags
bobbie – Muzzle brakes are fine. I am out of stock but should have my shipment from Australia in 2-3 weeks. What caliber do you need?

You bet. We have lots of guys using the AICS mags with 22-250, 243, 7-08 and he WSMs
The 22-250 and WSMs do require some light bending of the lips.

My smith has never commented on the degree of the threads but 1″ x 16 TPI is correct.

I wish I could get my hands on the Stainless Varmint… We are getting our FFL and I'll see if Beretta will let us import some of these hard to get Tikkas

I purchase several blued T3s from a local store for $500-$539 on sale just to have the actions for rebarreling.
By the time you pay for the varmint model plus a good stock, you could build a semi custom for almost the same price.

Try clearing you cache. Your computer is probably looking for the old server.
The link is working perfectly right now.

Hi NCbowhnter,
The varmints are no longer being imported so snatch up any you come across.
Tikka's muzzle thread is metric which won't help you much when buying a can.
If you can find a heavy barrel .308 (Beretta still imports the Scout) have a gunsmith thread the end of the barrel in SAE. It's a trivial task for a competent smith. There is even a shop here in MT that has a special lathe that lets him thread the muzzle without removing the barrel from the action.
The shop here is Gentry Custom. He makes the Quiet Brakes that have rave reviews.
Hopefully this helps!

Several people called me this morning saying the same thing.
I just purged my inbox. The server was supposed to do that automatically. Try again and hopefully it works.

Hi Al,
That's strange.
Let me know if that doesn't work. I received your first email with the pics of your 284 and responded to it.

If you're not rolling your own HSM seems to perform extremely well.
