Tikka Bolt handles
Posted by cb_tikka on October 24, 2011 at 2:00 amI've compared some of the aftermarket bolt handles.
The pics are from the manufacturers.
Roedale – never seen one person but it does look sweet.
HSS – Jason carries this one. The one I have is from the first pic. It looks slick with the T3 blued barrel. Second pic is the other offering.
UK Gun Works – I got this one in my Tikka varmint. I like the way it has the same bend as the stock bolt handle.

What would you guys think of an interchangeable bolt system? One in which the handle screwed on and off like some of the aftermarket Remington ones?

Do you mean…one in which the bolt…KNOB…unscrewed off the handle?
I could like that. I'd like a tad bigger knob, but I don't like them BIG buggers that everyone is showing.

That's what I was thinking. There are tons of screw on options for the Remington 700. My thought was to cut a knob that would accept any of the 700 ones.

I think it's a good idea, the more customizable a piece is the more likely you are to sell it because the guy who wants one style and the guy who wants the other style are both pleased with a universal piece. I know this post is old, but are you still thinking of making something like this?

I'm new to this forum, but have 2 Tikka T3's which I have done quite a bit of work on. Recently, I have produced some CNC machined bolt handles – some are made of Titanium, the other out of Stainless and Aluminium. I had batches made of each so people can buy them off me if they like them too. They suit all Tikka T3's, all Calibers, Left AND Right handed actions (the swept handle gets bent for RH or LH). I'm obviously Left Handed so that is why the handles are all shown as left handed, the Titanium models can be used in left and right handed rifles, the swept handle has to be bent to suit one or the other.
Just thought i'd post here because people were talking about different handles available. The swept handle can even be supplied un-bent (straight). The thread on it is a standard 5/16×24 Thread as found on many bolt knobs. The aluminium ball comes with the swept handle.
The swept handle is also available in full black finish (Cerakoted the whole thing).
Let me know what you think!
John.

I've tried but when I click on anyones profile it says you are not authorized to view this and says an error occurred maybe because my profile is new and I have to hit a minimum post number or something? I saw that he was selling these on ebay for 120 plus 20 shipping but no auctions currently.

I just tested the email link under his name and it brings up a private email. If you have further trouble, can you copy and paste the error message into an email for me? Send it to and I'll have the tech guys look at it.
I like the handles too and would love to sell them in the store for him.

vin-don't feel bad. I get the same error message when I try. Almost blew a gasket a couple times, but eventually my veins shrunk and went back into my neck.
Buy the pineapple and post us some pics of hamburger fingers…

Hi guys,
SORRY!Sorry sorry soooorrryyyy… I don't get notified of posts/replies, but I do get notified of emails/pm's. I have replied to vinrockin96, and will get him sorted with a swept ball handle.
The handles have been going well, and a second batch is on the cards.
I have sold ALL pineapple bolt handles, and for those that worry about how rough they are… well it is similar to a Surgeon knob – no one's complained about those, and I personally sit down with a diamond file and file every edge and corner, and THEN I run wet and dry over them – finishing with 1200 grit on a jig I use on the lathe.
The Pineapple ones have all sold which tells me that they're the most popular too, I use one myself on my 308 tikka varmint and it's a great grippy knob.
If the store on here would want to sell them, I'd be down with that, if anyone needs to contact me PM obviously works best, but I will try to fix up the notifications for posts on the forum.
Titanium bolt shrouds have been requested, and so I may have those to offer in the future too.
John.
