First I must say I am not personally familiar with your zeiss optic. I would rely on distance and calculation with coresponding click up or down vs bdc. But if you trial your rifle at 100,200,and300 you can dial in your scope pretty well

Sorry I don't recognize your T3 model.
But I assume it's 1:10 twist
Which will stabilize any bullet in the 100 grain range or lower
The 105 vlds will not work I believe
Stay with the 80 grain or there about for best long range.Mag length should not be the problem, but if it is, you can back the bolt stop off a bit to accommodate longer bullets.

David Waters from AU is starting to produce long action mags including 30-06 and 6.5×55.

I agree with dog, I have never seen an advantage with crimping in a bolt gun… I think the bullet jump to lands makes more impact on accuracy

As dog posted long ago – check out Nevada shooting you tubes with specific search for .223. That guy hit a gal jug on first shot with a 75 gr a-max using a Tika T3 light

I can't say much for ctr's but snipers hide is doing a review on the current T3 In .260 rem
Check it out please, btw the 6.5×55 is almost identical to .260 rem except if you reload I think 6.5×55 is better

Hey six shooter you are mostly right. If a person can handle the recoil, a limbsaver butt pad can make a tikka T3 light in 300 WM shootable.
A mountain tactical muzzle brake will make that same gun enjoyable to shoot (but crazy loud).
Now what is the compromise?Buy now a suppressor if you can – best of all worlds.

Don't fire a tikka light in 300 WM without a brake – just my advice
It will kick like a mule and a brake will make things way more manageable.

I shot some pheasants on my trip, but the sunflowers were not harvested so I have to come back in nearer future to make good

To correct things, the mountain tactical brake is not the standard Avis brake – it it better and slightly directed upward- meaning it has ports timed to reduce muzzel lift. Anyway I love it!
