.260 magazine query

Hi,
I'm trying to develop a load for .260 with 123gn Amax. The most accurate load is seated 10 th of the lands. Problem is they are to long for the mag. Is there an alternative magazine or an easy modification I can make.

Get a long action mag, which will allow you to seat your bullets as far out as you wan. You may also need a bolt stop from a long action too, which will allow you to throw the bolt longer. Plenty of used mags for sale cheaply on the forum. New mags are incredibly over priced.

Which magazine are you using? the plastic one on something like the Lite? or the CTR mag. In my 260 CTR, my cartridge OAL is 2.915 and still fits in stock mag.

David Waters from AU is starting to produce long action mags including 30-06 and 6.5×55.
Might work for you
