Gun smithing at mountain tactical
In August i submitteted 3 barreled actions to mountain tactical for barrel threading and in one case installation of their muzzle brake. Omg- they did a first rate job on all of them!
I sent them my 30-06 Hunter profile barrel for installation of a brake and the result was spectacular.
The 6.5×55 barrel thread was spot on and with my Dakota Varminter 3.0 silencer which now shoots so quietly I don't need hearing protection.
My .223 barrel is also well threaded … The only drawback to the whole process is my FFL has no idea that since I own the guns they do not need to go through the process of lchecking with the Feds.

To correct things, the mountain tactical brake is not the standard Avis brake – it it better and slightly directed upward- meaning it has ports timed to reduce muzzel lift. Anyway I love it!
