Whatever the case is, the problem needs addressed no matter if it came from the factory that way, or if you had Ceracoat applied. To me, the rifle should be flawless and to your liking, since it was your hard earned money shelled out for their product!  </p>

I was just experimenting when I stripped and finished the first Remington BDL that had the heavy shiny laquer coat.  The tung oil finish as you know dries hard as a brick, so I thought a satin laquer finish might work good. Are you wanting to got from a short action cartridge (22-250) to a long action 25-06 ? If so the bolt stop will need replaced or altered to a shorter model to allow the bolt to be pulled further back to pick up the longer case from the clip. </p>

You will want to use the part of the kit called Satin finish Stock Sheen, it will look like milk with a super fine gritty texture to it. GO SLOW, take your time working small areas with light pressure to achieve the finish you desire. </p>

My son shot his elk with it this year, and they are HAMMERS on elk even though they&#039;re designed for deer.  He pancaked her at about 275yds and she never twitched. They&#039;re built nearly identical to a rem 700 with the 2 large recoil lugs and same diameter bolt. Everything is signed and dated and photocopied then sent to Dave Kiff. I keep the origional drawings. </p>

He claims to have built a few and they didn&#039;t work out and the rifles were returned because they didn&#039;t perform as expected.
