Tikka Membership
Posted by rotie3 on December 18, 2016 at 2:34 amI am new here but am surprised that this forum has so few members. Considering the popularity of the Tikkas I was wondering where are all the owners? How old is this forum? Is there another Tikka forum?

It's not the numbers of people on a forum it's the quality of the people , and this forum has that in depth , you can get most questions answered by people that actually know the answer and not just guessing

Thx for the reply, Larkin…
I didn't mean to imply otherwise. Most of the other forums I frequent are held together with very well informed people. What I am most surprised by is the overall lack of technical info available from Tikka about their rifles. They give us the standard weight, barrel length, finish, etc. and that's about it. Hard to find much more.Larry

I totally agree with you Larry…but I think Tikka is trying to do a better job with marketing…the launch of the T3x wasn't too bad…the simple changes and additions to the rifle was a direct response to consumer feedback.
The aftermarket parts list is growing each year but it will never be a main stream rifle and have support like the Rem 700…especially in North America. Way more support overseas in Europe and Australia, etc…

Sad but true, most people think of shotguns when they hear the name Berretta, they think of really expensive rifles when they here the name Sako, and never hear the name Tikka associated with fine hunting rifle brand names. IT sure would be neat to make some honest commercials, where they bring 5boxed up rem700s in vaeious calibers, and 5 Tikkas boxed up in the same exact calibers using the same ammo. Hands down Tikka would win the accuracy showdown. I have a bunch of rem700s, most are customs and after fine tuning loads for them they shoot pretty darn fair. When I went to the range with factory ammo and my new Tikka, I wasen't expecting much but man was I wrong for being doubtful.
