Posted by TownFool on January 2, 2017 at 1:33 amHi there, was wondering if the bolt for a 25.06 is the same as a 22-250.

The simple answer is yes, the base of both case measure .473 so the bolt faces will be machined the same. Are you wanting to got from a short action cartridge (22-250) to a long action 25-06 ? If so the bolt stop will need replaced or altered to a shorter model to allow the bolt to be pulled further back to pick up the longer case from the clip.

I should have mentioned in my above reply that, THAT'S the true beauty of the Tikka line of rifles. The T3 actions and bolts are all the same length, the simple to change or alter bolt stop is the only thing that makes it either long or short action. The bolt faces are of course machined smaller or larger, to accept the different size cartridges the Tikka line chambers.
