I need a show of hands to see if anyone else is interested in having a build done like that. If we line up a few more people, he'll build some special fixtures for accurizing actions, etc.
'Smith decided he just wants to build his benchrest rifles…and my last 3 Tikka customs. So, looks like a false alarm. I guess when you look at all the extra work, I don't blame him. 🙁

Jeff,
If you look at all their stocks, they inlet 3 in the “sporter stocks”. The last one I did was a Sako Varmint pattern.

I thought in one of these posts, I saw someone show a yellow plastic piece that fit on top of the follower, that angled the tip of the bullet up, into the chamber. Anyone show me the link?

Looks great! What did you paint the barreled action and scope with?

I have a T3, stainless barrel for sale if you can use it.

Do you mean…one in which the bolt…KNOB…unscrewed off the handle?
I could like that. I'd like a tad bigger knob, but I don't like them BIG buggers that everyone is showing.

I personally don't see the need. You can safely tweak a T-3 trigger to do everything you need it to do. At least the last 6 I've done…unless you feel the need to get below 1-3/4#. ;D

There is a stop on the action so that that screw can only go so far. That will be the lightest weight the trigger can be set to.
If you hit that stop, you can “lean” on it a little more 'til it gets nice and tight, an it will be sweet. Most of mine are right at 2#.

If I was going to bed it with the factory lug as is, I'd release agent the action as usual, and release agent the lug(leave it where/how it is now), and full bed the action as usual.
I'm currently building 3 customs on Tikka actions. One has a custom built recoil lug TIG welded into the slot in the action, and bedded as usual into a McMillan stock. The other two are having the face of the action squared off, and a custom 700 style lug built to go between the action and the barrel.
Lots of ways to skin a cat. 😉 Are you by any chance, looking for another Factory Laminated stock?
Good luck, and post pics when you're done.

Best of all Jason McHann, here on Tikka Shooters can set you up so give him a shout.
I don't see them listed in the Tikka Store. How 'bout it Jason…what's the story? How do I order one thru you?
