Spend a little time reading some of the threads. There are several with reports on the B&C stocks that people have  installed.

Pretty sure that's the one. Rem 700/Tikka T3.

If the loaded cartridge will fit in your mag, start .010″ off the lands, then back off in .010″ increments until you find your best shooting load.

Been shooting it quite a bit. It's a .223, with an 8 twist. Just gets better with age. It holds MOA out to 600 yards, easily. Barrel broke in at shot #19, and has cleaned easy ever since. It'll be fun trying to wear it out…altho I prob never will.

The last 275 shots have all been at 600 yards, and it just seems easy.

As I've said before, I'm shooting 80 gr Bergers, and TAC powder. 8 twist handles the 80's just fine.

I'm currently doing the same thing with 3 Tikkas. I'm having a machine shop make 5 lugs (CNC), right from the git go, so I don't have to wait the next time.

2 of them are wearing Kreiger #5 Bull Sporters, and McMillan A-3's.

Get some pics up when you're done.

I have one more question.  What kind of bipod is that on the Tikka?  I don't recognize it and it looks pretty solid.

    Thanks!!

A guy up here in MN that has a machine shop makes a few, and sells them to us guys that shoot leagues.

Earlier this year I set up Yukon Al here the last new super varmint in the country. He recently took it bone stock to an FT/R match and placed second. I don't think he's missing the 2″ either.  I am more than happy with the factory barrel.

    Hope this helps.

To my knowledge, I've won every 600 yard F-TR match I've shot in in the last 4 weeks. Bone stock Super Varmint .223 shooting 80 gr Bergers…with only a 22X NF scope. I shot a 198-8X last week.

My 8 twist .223 T-3 Lite shoots 50 gr. VMax's into 1″ at 200 yards. Every time out.

    And it shoots 55 NBT's, and 55 VMax, and 65 Sierra's, and……..

I've NEVER heard of an 8 twist .223 T-3 Lite that wasn't a hammer. It's one of the most sought after Tikka's there is.

I don't know about demand, but if you can get the word out, maybe it'll go.

All I know is, I'm sure happy with mine!

I'm afraid we'll need a few more details…Are you teasing us?

Caliber, barrel length, scope, intended use…

    Give it up! ;D

ps, working on the pic. Turkey season ended today.

Sounds about perfect to me. I guess I'd like to see that rear ring a little farther back on the scope.

Very nice list of components on your rifle. Have fun with it…and, welcome!

280-my .223 Tikka's are very easy to find a load for. From others I've talked to, it's the same thing. Pick a bullet you want to shoot,  and throw some TAC and Varget, and you'll be in business. Mine shoot best with bullets seated either at the lands, or .010″ off.

    I've loaded:
50 gr VMax, 55 VMax, 55 gr NBT's, 65 gr Sierra GameKing, 69 gr Sierra HPBT Match, 75 gr AMax, and 80 gr VLD's. They shoot them all 1/2 moa or better.

Jason-the SV is dam nice. I've worked up a nice shootin' load for it with 25.0 TAC and 80 grain Berger VLD's at 2875 fps. I'll be playing around in F-Class with it this summer. A VX3, 8.5-25 Target Dot is sitting on top. The dot sits inside a 1″ diamond at 200 yards, and makes for some fun shootin'. ;D

If you're gonna get some bolt stop kits in, I'll hold off 'til you get them. Welcome back!
