Some companies have muzzle brakes that stay on the rifle so when the can is removed the barrel still has weight on it which decreases the shift.  I have a Templar can and it screws right onto the muzzle brake.  they also have flash hiders that screw on if you don't want the sounds of the muzzle brake when shooting without the can installed.  my 35 whelen has barely any shift with and without the can installed.

Thanks!  “Not to bad from a bipod” as all my F class friends say.

I would track the cold bore shots but I don't know how well that would work since I'm always bouncing between the 69's and 77's. The group above was shot at 68 degrees 2919 ES 39 SD 14.

I don't think that model has the same glass as the Siii.  Only the 2.5-17 model does that I know of.

I don't think the sightron eye relief is worse than the vortex 6-24 hst I had.  The eyebox was horrible on the vortex.

I recently sold my NF benchrest 12-42 and got the Siii 8-32 and I'm very happy for half the price.  Its on a 223 but I have read it keeps zero very well on higher recoil rifles.

I thought 260 was already a long action, so no bolt mods are necessary.

I always shop around for the best deal.  I have one local pawn shop that I do all my transfers thorough and in most cases if I'm buying new ill see what he can do as far as pricing.  If its the same it would cost me with the transfer fee I will buy it from him. In most cases its not cheaper though.  I've done about 10 transfers with this store so far this year and I don't think they complain bout the 200 bucks they have made for the 30 minutes of work it has taken them.  If I had a bunch of money I wouldn't worry about the 50-100 more bucks it would cost to buy local but I don't and that's the cost of a base or a steal recoil block that we have to put in our tikkas'.

I know it has to suck for other gun stores who sell their guns to make a decent profit but that why I live here in America because the market sets the prices and those having the best prices will always get the business.    Look at how many guns buds gun shop sells.  At the end of the day it must be easier to sell quantity to make the money than it is to sell at higher prices.

I've bought a bunch of used guns online and I've only been burned once and it was my own fault because I kept getting bad feeling but sent a MO anyways because it was a hard to find gun.  Every other times its been smooth sailing and I've felt well about the sale.  In most cases people will buy a gun and put maybe a box of shells through it and then sell it for 100 less than new.  Those are the deals I look for.

? I'm looking to get one done here soon and would like to know what the barrel diameter would be for a 6.5 at 20″ for the varmint and continental.

    Thanks

I only have a analog scale but it shows just slightly below 1lb.  I would guess around 10-14 oz

I use a tipton in my 223 and 35 whelen and it works like its supposed to.  No sense in spending tons of money for an expensive one.

i ordered two of the yodave springs and used one as a tester.  I ended up not needing the extra one because after cutting a few coils off my trigger was where I needed it.  its sub 1lb but to be exact im not sure.

I ended up cutting a few coils off to where the trigger wouldn't function with the adjustment all the way out then I turned it in until it started to work and added 1/2 turn for reliability.

I have about 1k rounds through the rifle and never had a issue.  This gun only for paper punching.

    Jason,

Does a straight taper give any added benifit over your varmint taper besides extra weight?
