spectacular 5 shot group – no vertical, no stringing – This is the kind of target I like to see! I would be interested to see a target that you bring out and put the first cold shot on each time you hit the range – sort of a group over time showing the shift (if any) from a cold or clean and cold bore to a warm group.
Great shooting!

Very nice group…I love CFE, its one of the fastest powders for 223 and its produced some great groups for me as well….
But, sadly it is not temp stable and loads will fluctuate from day to day, but very very accurate when its dialed in for conditions. If you are experienced enough to play around with + or – powder charges for changing conditions you will be very happy with that powder / bullet combo… I only shoot it in the summer months. I love the increased velocity it gives you over Varget…but Varget is still my favourite for my T3 Varmint….25-25.5grs pushing a 60r Nosler BT Spitzer, not super fast but deadly accurate any day of the week.
Good shooting. Would also love to see some cold bore testing like Eric mentioned if you can put the time in or remember at the range. Would be a nice case study on the powder.

Thanks! “Not to bad from a bipod” as all my F class friends say.
I would track the cold bore shots but I don't know how well that would work since I'm always bouncing between the 69's and 77's. The group above was shot at 68 degrees 2919 ES 39 SD 14.

69gr (in my case Lapua Scenar L OTM) shoots like a laser, as does the GGG 69gr ammo as well. I use 77-80gr (Lapua Scenar L or Berger VLD) at longer distances (exceeding 300m) but if if it´s calm the 69gr goes a long way.
SMK 77gr (Norma factory loadaed Match ammo in this case) does very well too. I need to try some SMK´s in a Lapua and Norma brass.
