The price is not a big concern, 65 dollars or 95, who cares?
    the important is the quality.

    Exceptionally satisfied.
I have a varmint that is rechambered to 6,5×55 AI and it's shooting a 130 Norma VLD at 3000 fps.
Making a trajectory of 8,5 mils out to 1000 meters, same as for my TRG.338…….

I am using the 6,5×55 AI with Norma 130 grains VLD, and there is certainly spare room for a number of millimeters more.
So the Bergers could without any problems be used.
My 6,5 and my TRG338 have the same ballistics out to 1000 meters and that is 8,5mils.
I think that is pretty decent, and yes the 338 could be working harder by using 300 gr bullets, but I don't have the barrel for that.

I make 34mm mounts that is 13mil/44,4 moa.
And 30 and mm mounts that is 7mils/24 moa for direct mounting to the tikka without picatinny.

Barrels are not a problem, not rebarreling either.

But I got a feeling that Tikka/sako barrels last much longer than normal US made barrels.
For example a TRG .338 Barrel have a repuation to last 4000-5000 rounds.
That is pretty far from where the majority of aftermarket barrels are.

I have rebarreled many guns myself as I have been a full time gunsmith for a number of years.
And the combination of great accuracy and long life makes me to want to have Tikka barrel again.

It's really annoying when the barrellife of the T3 comes to an end.
Here is one part where I really DISKLIKES Tikka/Sako.
The gun has to be sent back to Finland to get a new barrel installed, and that costs HUGE amount.

Replacement barrels should be sold by the importer!

As the T3 generally shoots so extremely well, it feels wrong to install another barrel, when the T3 barrel just is perfect.

I have no issues with the orignal mags.
My main concern is that I wanna have bigger capacity and preferable staggered mags.
    7075 would probably work fine.

I am primaraly looking for a centerfeed 10 rds mag that is staggered.
But a single stack is far better than the current alternative……
    So I am interested.

You can use a TRG trigger, not the cheapest or best solution, but it would certainly work.

    No problems so far.
All people I know with T3 are actually quite fond of the reliability and I havent heard about any issues, so maybe you just should claim warranty or get another mag.

As there is no tactical mags yet for T3, I am waiting until Alutek are ready with theirs.

I would certainly consider Warne rings on the action.

Think this looks very good, and is surely plenty strong to.
Otherivise if recoil not is exessive I would consider the Ringmounts from Tikka.

I would NEVER put a picatinny rail on a gun that already have a perfect rail.
Sandvich solution without any reason in my opinion.
The integrated rail on the T3 was one of the big reasons for me to get a T3.

As far as I know there is at least the following options for direct mounting.
    1. Tikka Ring mount
    2. Tikka optilock
    3. Warne
    4. Apel
    5. Spuhr
    6. I have surely missed a bunch.

I think the Ring mount from Tikka is a pretty nice mount for a light hunting rifle, same with the Warne.
Perfekt, less parts, less screws, less “fuckuppossibilitys”

For someone that needs the tilt, there is the optilocks that are very easy to adjust to any tilt you like, by simply makeing the front ring lower.

For tactial options and serious heavy duty, there is my solution.
TRG mount clamped directly to the action.

The quality on the Alutek stuff is pretty impressive, so I guess there is a good reason for the price differance.
I would certianly use their bottommetal if there was any with staggered 10 rds mag for 6,5.

I mounted the Alutek.eu bolt shroud as it's just a matter of time before the orignal plastic one breakes.
