Nice looking whitetail there my friend!

You need some sort of a “lug” to transfer the recoil energy from the action to the stock.
The pillars are more of a solid and consistent connection between the action and the stock. I don't think you want to rely on the pillars to transfer the recoil energy. That's the lugs job.

If your OAL is at SAMII max then it should fit.
What load did you end up with? I'm always looking for good 300 WM loads.

You will likely have to measure the opening in the magazine you have to find out for sure. What OAL are you currently using?

As far as trimming the case length, I usually subtract 0.005″ from the maximum length number and trim to that.

The Adjustable Objective is strictly for dialing out parallax error. It's not suppose to be used for focus. As Jacob Bynum says “Focus is a byproduct”

FFP are nice if you plan on ranging objects with the reticle, or you like to hold off for wind and/or elevation. That way you don't have to remind yourself to set the power ring to the correct setting. If you plan on dialing for elevation and wind a SFP might make sense.
The downside with FFP is that the reticle can get really thin when you're using a lower power setting. Illumination can help this a bit though.

Have you checked the Ejector? Maybe the spring is broken or the Ejector Plunger is stuck?

I removed the nubs in my T3 Varmint and haven't noticed any ill effects.
When you tighten the action screws, make sure the action is seated into the recoil lug. Then slightly snug up the front screw, followed by snugging up the rear screw. Then go back to the front screw and apply the recommended torque, followed by torqueing the rear screw.

Thanks for the info.
I've got a custom in 260 Rem that I adore. But I really like my T3 in 22-250. I even like the stock. I just wish it had an adjustable cheek piece. Lately, I've been thinking of getting a T3 Varmint in .223.

could you send me a picture of what you're dealing with? I'll take mine apart and see if I can spot any differences? – Todd

Does your Mainspring, (firing pin spring), and Firing Pin look okay?
The handle should basically slip right in. Take a close look to see what's not lining up.

A couple things to check.
1. Take the bolt apart and see if the Mainspring is broken. There's a video on how to do this in the gunsmithing section. https://tikkashooters.com/public_html/gunsmithing/bolt-disassembly-video/
2. With the bolt out of the gun, by hand, rotate the cocking piece so that the firing pin is protruding from the front of the bolt. Measure how much it's sticking out.
Let us know what you find out.

You might consider IOR from Romania.
