I'll raid Jason's notebook for his 270 WSM- it's a very accurate rifle.
The recoil lug can't move if you want accuracy. I'll get some info for tomorrow at the shop. -

Wouldn't matter much- anything with a 308 family bolt face would work (243,270,7-08,280,308,30-06 to name a few). If you're building from a short action you'd want to modify the bolt stop, too. Or you can have us build it for you at Mountain Tactical 🙂 we like building rifles!

I've killed a few critters with SST's & like them more than the Barnes type bullets. I've had to track a few critters after making good shots with the Barnes. So far I haven't had to track anything with SST's.
Neither one would be my first choice, but that's mainly due to me a being a reloader. -

Hard to go wrong with either the 7-08 or 308 at those ranges. I'd run heavy bullets for either & go with the one that shoots best (or maybe the lighter I did there's hiking involved)
