T3 Lite Stainless 300 Win Mag Hunting Ammo
Posted by flashjordan9 on September 29, 2014 at 9:02 pmWhat ammo should I buy for elk & deer hunting with my T3 Lite Stainless 300 WM?
I've tried several factory loads and gotten the best 100-yd grouping results from these Hornadys: http://www.hornady.com/store/300-Win-Mag-180-gr-SST-Superformance/
Not entirely happy with them though.
What about the Barnes VOR-TX 180 Grain TTSX Lead Free Boat Tail Polymer Tip Bullet?
Thoughts?

Barnes would be good but you might also want to look or try the Hornaday GMX 165 grain. Either one should do the job for you if you can get a good group that satisfies you. Selway Armory seems to have the best prices and not to bad shipping charges.

I've killed a few critters with SST's & like them more than the Barnes type bullets. I've had to track a few critters after making good shots with the Barnes. So far I haven't had to track anything with SST's.
Neither one would be my first choice, but that's mainly due to me a being a reloader. -
I think Berger has loaded 300 win mag ammo for sale now. Sorry if I am mistaken but they would supply quality stuff if pricey.
Look up Berger loaded ammo
ABMammo has 300 win mag hunting rounds by Berger.
I have no experience with 300 win mag or Berger loaded rounds but Berger is leader in quality projectiles.
