    Howdy,
    I've measured the head to shoulder length on lots of PPU compared to a go gauge…
    Most of it is on the long side of the tolerance… It appears that Tikka's are chambered
    towards the shorter side… I have a Ruger GSR that chambers all the PPU…
    Anyway, same experience here with Tikka CTR .308…..

    Just put it in the classifieds at a reasonable price and someone will grab it..
    Too bad those mags are so expensive…
    I picked up a mag, an extra stock, and the hardware for a bunch less than the price of a mag..

    Mine is a little snug at 10, so I just load 9……
    Same with my Glock 21, I only load 12…

    Same problem here with Privi .308…… Problem is the headspace distance is too long…
    (Back of rim to shoulder)
    Measured several cartridges, they're several thou too long…
    They will barely close in a Ruger GSR, but not in my CTR that is approx. .002 shorter..
    Don't force it, you may gall your bolt lugs..
    OTH, I have some Privi .30-30 that works just fine, but as you know, headspaces on the rim…

    For hunting, the .308 and .270 are very common at any ammo store.. Consider getting what your friends have so if you run out of ammo you can mooch some from them..!!
    Actually, either one would be great….
