Hi two people that I shoot with have had to return there tikka’s for a refund, one was a .22lr that didn’t have its crown machined correctly and the other a tikka tac that had its thread on the muzzle machined out of true with the barrel

If you’ve got a lite or super lite and threaded 1/2 you could get one of the EC’s adapter and muzzle brake/ barrel tuners , but then again why would you get a lite / super lite then start adding weight, you might as well got a heavier rifle which would reduce muzzle flip / recoil

Hi I would say yes near enough, ,I’ve got two tikka’s one a .223 semi custom that made how I want it , my choice of stock etc, the other a .260 A1 tac , which is a very good rifle but change the pistol grip back and take away the bag slider is just the same as another tikka tac

I’ve got a MDT one on my tac

On my tikka .223 I’ve got a 12/1 to shoot 52 grain bergers but I don’t think 500 yards would be on the cards for targets , but if like your planing a 8/1 it will give you the chance to shoot 77 grains out to 1000meters should the chance arrive

The only think that’s Tikka on my .223 is the action lol , my .260 tac A1 is all tikka but when the barrels gone , it will change to a 6xc but I’ll keep the stock , at least the front , and the trigger might be changed , but I class them both tikka’s

Hi I take it your in the USA has you don’t say , have you tried mountain tactical ?, your best bet in my view is the smaller local shops with less web presence or even better no web site

One thing some people overlook on non pillar bedded wooden stocks is over time the wood will compress reducing the load so they’ll need checking periodically

Just add a bartlien barrel machined same as the varmint barrel it was replacing but stretched out to 24inch (.223)

Been looking at mounts myself but mono mounts with 20 moa , going with Spuhr 4602 or tier-one 34 tube high (1.38) for a Javelin 5-30-56 remember the 56 is the size of the lense not the outside diameter of the scope which I’d guess is around the 60 mm on a 56 dia lense

Here in Europe they come with 2 mag from new , I searched for the spare mag promotion where I got my A1 a couple of months ago and I found about the spare mags but it was an old page ?

Also look at barrel length , if your shooting less than 500 meters you might get away with a shorter barrel 20 “ or mybe 18” depending on caliber

Hi has far as I aware the most weight saving is the diameter of the barrel and the tapper but I could be wrong has I’m at the other end of the scale by add weight for Prl matches lol

IMO just take it to a good gunsmith , most people don’t realise barrels are classed as a consumable item and don’t plan how/when there going to get replace , last year I replace my .223 & 6.5 , also 0.041 is quite a difference
