Ok, so I’m in the market for a new gun and I have settled on a Tikka, either in 308 or 6.5CR I haven’t decided that part yet. I have been very impressed with the T3X Tact A1, however, at 4 grand here in Australia it’s a bit on the pricy side. I was then going through all the options and was wondering, are they effectively all the same bar the stock? So, for example, if I bought the cheapest rifle, in this instance the T3X Compact at $1400, and then put it in an MDT stock or some such thing, maybe a grand with the buttstock as well. So, here I am now at $2400, or even if I have to get a few more bits, mags for example. Let’s round it up to 3 grand all up. Do I now effectively have a T3X Tact A1 with still $1000 in my pocket?

Hi I would say yes near enough, ,I’ve got two tikka’s one a .223 semi custom that made how I want it , my choice of stock etc, the other a .260 A1 tac , which is a very good rifle but change the pistol grip back and take away the bag slider is just the same as another tikka tac
