It's a floated barrel they should be a gap , have you used a toque wrench to retighten the action screws , any other questions just ask

Why by a light hunting rifle in a largish caliber , and complain about recoil and over heating , light barrels will get hot there not made for lots of shots after one another , and for the recoil the lighter the gun the more recoil , the problem seam to me be you and not the gun you have got the wrong gun for you needs

Also did you check that the rail was tight before you put the scope/ mounts on

Try backing off the cleaning , your barrel might like a bit of copper inthere to shoot , also just check to see if the barrel is floating all the way to the front of the action

Over here in England there's load of propellants from Hodgdon that are getting band , because of some of the stuff there made up of , managed to get enough H4350 to last the life time of my barrel in my Creedmoor , get offered 50 tubes of H4350 , I didn't take all 50 but I've made a nice profit on the one's I did get about 25% mark up ,

Hi welcome , imo it's the ppu there's a reason why it's cheap

If it's just recoil have you tried a muzzle brake or a moderater they both can reduce the recoil that's felt

Got offered 50 tubs , but I didn't have the storage required here in England for so much , made 25% profit on the amount I managed to get and store

I think you have a 50 cm barrel , not the 60 you wanted just take it back to the shop and show them , if it's a good Rfd they should swop it over with the minimum of fuss , if not threaten legal action and all the bad press that intails

Easy way to check just go onto Tikka's web site and see what the overall length should be for your barrel length

H4350 and Varget are being band here in the Eu and The U.K. On health and safety grounds because of some of the compounds its made up off , good job I've enough H4350 to see the barrel out on my Creedmoor
