Tikka t3x lite
Posted by Sam308 on September 5, 2017 at 1:18 pmI recently bought a Tikka t3x lite and it's a great gun. However it's too light for me to shoot enjoyably. Are there any after market solutions (that won't break the bank) such as heavier barrels or stocks that can help reduce felt recoil. If not I may end up selling and getting something different, or sell the barrel and stock and make a semi custom rifle.

If it's just recoil have you tried a muzzle brake or a moderater they both can reduce the recoil that's felt

I think my barrel is tapered too much to thread anything on, that's why I was considering a new barrel or a new rifle all together

try a bolt on brake. I went with a Witt Machine bolt on brake and it helped. Also went with a MDT Chassis.

tikkas sporter barrels can be threaded if you want to put a muzzle brake on it.
Also just throwing on a limbsaver recoil pad can make a world of difference.
You could also put some kind of fill in the stock to add a little weight. -

Limbsaver recoil pad if recoil is your problem. Mine was money well spent.
