I see good availability on certain brands like CCI primers, IMR powders and Lapua brass in .223 & 6.5×55. Certain bullets like 6.5 95 gr V-max are hard to find. Prices are a bit inconsistent.

Ok first the wild pattern is not likely from the dented recoil lug. That is not to say that the lug is faultless.
Ok let's nail down the details
You have a used 22-250 tikka and are having dificulty sighting it in.
I don't recall the twist on the T3 22-250 but it is 1:12 I bet
That means you can stabilize the 45-55 gr bullets.
If the rifle is new or not much fired you can develop loads like any new rifle.
Find serious loading help to get the primary load for this particular rifle.

Dogdown is right on the 53 gr v-max. The 1:8 twist spins em up too fast. I do use the 53 gr hpbt moly coated on my foulers but I know that this is not the fix for my 1:8 Sporter.

Sorry friend but unless it says 1:8 on the barrel, it's a 1:10. Welcome to the site! The seller can easily confirm the twist , if they won't then find someone else to buy from.
All that said: the 1:10 twist has great potential

congratulations on a fun rifle!, you might try Black Hills 77 gr. I don't have the box handy but they shot well in my T3- sporter 1:8. Good luck !

Not sure if your model is prime resale.
It is a perfect shooter and you should make it a primary tool for hunting or tactical shooting.
