M695 Bolt Disassembly????
Posted by CharlieNC on October 6, 2015 at 10:26 pmFor the first time I'm trying to break down the bolt to clean the internals, and have an aftrermarket replacement bolt on the way. But, I can't get the thing disassembled!! I've watched a video, and I get as far as rotating the firing pin assembly into the large detent using an allen wrench. But I can't get the bolt to budge. I will try putting it in the freezer tonight to see if that breaks things loose. If not, which way should I hammer the bolt? Do I hit it on the ball handle, or the other way?

I got it. Penetrating oil, overnight in the freezer, and a few smacks with a wood handle knocked it out. Cleaned but the original bolt handle is still a very tight fit; will see how the aftermarket fits in a few days.

Charlie,
I broke a bolt shroud on my M595.. I found that the shrouds are interchangeable with a T3, but not the bolt handles. A shroud and handle kit is about the same price as a replacement shroud so I just bought both. I installed them on my T3 and took the bolt shroud from the T3 and installed it on the M595. Show us what yours looks like!!Mine: before and after

No pics, but I installed one with a large carbon fiber knob. The longer length plus large knob is much more convenient to operate, especially with an upcoming hunt. I like it!

So after all you managed to disassemble it, right? Or still need some help?

Bolt removal and whatnot is easy, good luck
