I know this is late, but try the Lapua 139 gr Scenar ammunition.  Don’t be afraid of trying lighter points like 123 gr Lapua.

180 gr monolithic bullets like the Barnes type are a bit longer than cup-&-core traditional bullets.  They may not stay stabil at long range with 1:11 twist.  Check with the bullet manufacturer.

Larkin is again spot on.  If there is no debris in the bolt, there are many high tech lubes that may be the answer.  It is rare though that any tikka has issues of this type so don’t be shy of returning it for service.

I would get a mountain tactical picatinny rail which would let you mount a variety of rings.
The factory rings are not my choice.

Hey critter, you just bought a first rate precision rifle series (prs) quality rifle.
Look at the Burris tac rings which let you change inserts to add 10-20 moa.
Low profile Mags are tricky and I don’t know of any currently.
    Good luck!

I don’t have anything to add regarding tac a-1 measurements, but a buddy of mine has one in 6.5 cm and it is a spectacular shooter

One other factory load you should try is the Lapua 69 gr. Scenar  It’s on sale now at bullets.com until they sell out.  It’s really good ammo for 1in 8 twist barrels!

I also am interested in the 300 win mag… is the tikka too long in the throat? Or too short in the magazine?

If budget is not a criteria, then spur, or addmount .  I am inclined to go with addmount since they do great work on other aspects of Precision shooting.
They do fantastic scope covers, and great mounts.

Dnz rings or mounts are quite good, but will still need lapping. (My experience).
