MY first Tikka ……the model with factory installed rail
Posted by critter99 on April 16, 2018 at 7:45 pmBought it on a whim on a military base.
Is there a smaller magazine that fits like 3 or 5 rounds?
Will aluminum Leapers scope rings be fine with this rifle or do I need ones with a square Lug?
What factory loads should I try and good ones for plinking ??

Welcome first why a smaller mag ? Second don’t understand what you mean about the rings ( might be because I’m in England ) , third you haven’t said what caliber , and all rifles are different remember just because one round work in one rifle it dosn’t mean it will work on another

If I were you I would not put cheap Chinese rings on my rifle. If cost is an issue wait until you have a few more dollars. Go to Beretta website and get the SKU# for the mag you want and search for best price. Most 5 and 10 round mags are the same except the is a metal or plastic block to restrict rifle to 3 or 5 rounds. You can make your own by remove the follower and dropping in a home made block. You provided too little info to advise you futher.

Sorry its a .308 T3X CTR Model
I would like a flush fitting mag but I think I am out of luck with the T3X CTR version.
I wanted true Picatinny crossbars .205 versus Weaver .180
You can put Weavers in a Picatinny slot but you cannot put Picatinny mount into a true Weaver slot
The Leapers except for their new line are all fit both standards so smaller crossbars
Looked at 100 dollar rings at Cabelas every one sported a made in china sticker

Hey critter, you just bought a first rate precision rifle series (prs) quality rifle.
Look at the Burris tac rings which let you change inserts to add 10-20 moa.
Low profile Mags are tricky and I don’t know of any currently.
Good luck!
