Tikka T3X Super Varmint trigger
Posted by amozorro on July 21, 2017 at 12:48 pmHi.
First, excuse me my horrible english
I have just bought a new T3X super varmint, and ths trigger is too much heavy for my taste, something like 3,5 lbs. I,ve read that I can easily adjust it removing just the magazin with an Allen key. But reading other reviews they tell is neccesary to take away the stock to adjust it, and after to fit it tightenning the screws with the correct torche. Any input?
Thank you in advance

Definitely remove the stock so you can see how much adjustment you've got. You can't do that otherwise.

Yes. It looks the way to do it. I was just looking for a way without touch the screws. In my own experience, when I thighten them again, the rifle is not zeroed, and have had problems with the correct torche

Today I have been cleaning my sako finnlight, and have seen I can adjust the trigger just removing the magazing. The gunmaker is the same, but not the gun… :'(

Just to know if someone can advise some factory ammo for my gun: tikka supervarmint 6,5×55
Thinking in getting the best accuracy, without take in mind the animal I will hunt with the rifle -

Twist rate is 1:8, so I supose it will make tinny groups with heavy points. It shoots really well with norma vulkan 156 gr factory ammo, but I dont like the bullet, low BC and is not the best choice for long range shooting

I know this is late, but try the Lapua 139 gr Scenar ammunition. Don’t be afraid of trying lighter points like 123 gr Lapua.
