I did look at them but the sight had vague descriptions, in your opinion, somewhat budget minded, which particular model MINOX would you recommend for the CTR 260REM? Unlikely I'll get to take it beyond 600yds, 1000yds would be absolute most IF I ever make it anywhere to shoot that far.

I also have a Burris and I think it's the clearest sharpest optic I currently own.

Yea I think vortex is over rated by ppl who don't wanna pony up for better scopes.  I have 2 vortex scopes and there “good” but honestly my weaver scopes are as good and less finicky with eye relief.  I think I'll try a MINOX, thanks sirs'!

And you feel the MINOX is the way to go as of now?  I like my Sightron and they have great reviews but the eye relief is minimal IMO

Ok thanks again dog down!  I'm locked in on a 20″ threaded CTR blued for $864 after FFL fee👌 I have 2 ss ones and one blued so I figured if even it out and beings it's a “tacticalish” rifle why not keep it black lol so excited to play around with the 260 and damn I hope I get a deer tag this year! 🙏🙏🙏

Price is $948 for blued or $1098 stainless, you think ss is worth it? As far as wear/accuracy. I clean my stuff like a saint so not worried about rust etc.

Ok thanks guys! Great info dog down as always, I would rather put the $ towards an optic then the laminated stock, and we have no restrictions on magazine capacity for hunting so the 10rd would be a bonus also. Now…to find a CTR and somehow trick the wife…

I'd do .308 for Wisconsin, and less recoil, cheaper rds, etc. (Sounds like you already reload for it also) if strictly hunting rifle I would go syn stock. Tikka wood stocks are pretty soft and will get banged up in wis. Just my .02c! I'm not familiar with the model but see if limbsaver makes a direct replacement. I have 3 and I really like them, not the slip on ones, see if they make one that screws on like the original.

Thanks! I traded a $470 AR-15 for it and it already had DNZ scope mount and limbsaver recoil pad. Super clean rifle, no handling marks, the bolt face didn't even have brass staining on it.  I feel a lot more comfortable dragging that through the trees then the wood ones.

I almost bought a k31 a year ago, regret not getting it now. If there is no sentimental attachment to the ruger I personally would swap it for the Swiss, I love the old war rifles though so my opinion may be biased. I have and live my rugers I own but you can replace a 25-06 anytime.

Euro optics is claiming they'll have these in oct but who knows for sure and there asking $1000 for them😡

I can't wait to get some nice handloads in mine as well! The fusion ammo 165gr has been very good in my 300wsm and 308 (ruger GSR) I have some spendy $$$ 180gr I'm going to put through the WSM soon just to see how it likes that. I would prefer to keep it 165-168gr in both rifles so I have 1 projectile for all my .30cal
