Good shooting for a beginner , in my .223 12/1 twist I use sako brass , Berger 52 gn target bullets (22408) 24 gn Vihtavuori 133 , cci Br primers ,when it had a tikka barrel if I was doing the right thing it would shoot .5 moa , do you have a rear bag ? If not get one ,If you have an 8/1 try Lapua brass 77 gn smk’s over 24.2 gn Vihtavuori 140 , cci Br primer , which I think is getting close to max load so start lower and work up , checking for pressure signs

The idea of not using a rail and the mount for it is to have one less component making the set up ( in theory ) more ridged

The quality of the manufacturing is as good has it gets , no need to horn them to aline them , return to zero , can be used on any caliber rifle even 50 cal /C/ytac’s ,

I have a Spuhr mount on one of my rifles ( not a Tikka ) on the rest I have tier 1 there both top of the line , if I had the £/$ and was buying again I’d go Spuhr , don’t get me wrong tier 1 are excellent and the reason why I started with them is because I live 3 miles from there factory and can get them discounted lol  , I’ve switched to Spuhr because they did a cantilever mount and tier 1 at the time didn’t and Spuhr overall has more variations

All tikka T3’s are long action , so don’t see why it would be a problem

It’s not really for me to say yes or no , but when the .260 came about it was with a 20 “ barrel , if you not shooting a long way I cannot see a problem , if it was me I see if other makes make a .260 with a 20 “ barrel if they isn’t any there’s your answer , you can always send Jason at mountain tactical a email and ask his opinion , but at the end of the day it’s your call
