Try contacting nightforce they probably have some pictures
I would agree with you but surprisingly enough I did and they provided me with nothing!! Was actually quite dissappointed in that….lol. So now I am on the hunt to find some pics.

After many months of research finally made a purchase.
LEICA RANGEMASTER CRF 2400-R
Had the best combination of functionality, temp rating and reviews I could find.

Need holding off for a bit but went ahead and ordered the SCT-3001 mount for my tikka T3x. Considering using one scope for a few different rifles. My main goal is just to get one hell of a mount that I never have to worry about and frankly am sick of lapping rings. I’ll throw a little review on here when it arrives and I have the chance to mount it and test it out. Considering trying To move one scope back and forth from two different rifles and see how that works as well.

Guess I lost track of this one. Still haven’t purchased a rangefinder. Reinstall condsidering either a Leica or a Sig Kilo BDX.
One issue I have with the BDX is the software doesn’t seem to allow me to enter a custom zero. From plying with it a little I have to use a preset zero (eg. 100, 200 etc). I use the PBR method and usually zero my 30-06 at about 240.
As for the Leica, really like the 2400 series.
Still concerned about experimenting but I just may have to pick one and go for it.

So sounds like they need to be devoted with an epoxy of some sort. What would be the effect of installing without epoxy?

Thx. Kind of what I was expecting.
What are your thoughts on muzzle velocity? Most of my reading suggests a 26” barrel for both the 7mm mag and the 300 win mag yet Tikka is running a 24.3” in their standard rifle and a 23.7” in the Varmint.

Sounds like a great “new” toy. Love to hear how it goes.
I’m just heading out this afternoon for a hunt. Agree with the two rifle approach. I’m taking a 6.5CM and a 30-06.
Best of luck in the hunt.

I finally got a response from Tikka and looks like it more or less alights with what I learned:
“Hi, depending the manufacturing date of your rifle there should be serial number (or just thee last digits) engraved to the bolt. You should only use the original bolt of the rifle!”

Thx guys. Was looking for a 300 win mag then I was at my local gun shop and he had a used T3 300wsm for one heck of a price…and of course after a little bit of discussion the price got even more attractive. You can probably see where I am going with this….I now own a T3 300WSM. Guess I’ll be adding my thoughts after I go to the range on Saturday.
Did a little minor work on it after mounting a scope, (cleaned, torqued the action screws to 35 inlbs as well as replaced the aluminum recoil lug with a steel one, put on a LimbSaver pad and filled the hollow butt end of the stock with foam).
Looking forward to seeing how it shoots. For now I bought a couple boxes of 165 gr TBT from Federal Premium. That is good to hear though that the 1:11 works well up to ~200gr.
Will let you know how it goes.

All good information…I actually did not know the bolts carried the same serial number.
The two of mine did not carry the exact numbering but a portion thereof.
Examples:
Rifle s/n T45681V
Bolt number T4568Rifle s/n CV54298
Bolt number 298 -

So no response from Tikka yet….dang!!! :'(
So I headed down into the basement and figured I would take my fancy calipers from work and do a bit of measuring. Every single dimension that I measured seemed to line up exact. They are both the exact same length so no issues with head space. Bolt diameter, face, lugs, etc….all measuring the same.
Then as you would have it I get interrupted and come down stairs and again not sure quick rifle belongs to which bolt so I start looking a little closer….and now I am just embarrassed!!! Lol. Both bolts are either fully marked or partially marked to match the serial number on the rifle!! Ugh….completely missed that before.
I’m sure there will be some that make fun of me for this…..frankly I deserve it and welcome it….lol. For the most part I hope you all get a kick out of this but more importantly if this does happen to you remember to try and match up the bolt numbering with your rifle serial number.
Cheers 8)

Still looking for feedback as I am only going off of info I have found inline.

One more comment….this link says the bolt faces are exactly the same
I also found this Sami Link showing the dimensions of different cases….
I have also attached a few screen shots from the above SAMI link.
So based on this and the fact that TIkka T3X is built off a long action…..ie. all bolts the same length. These bolts should be interchangeable should they not?

BTW….here are a few pics of before and after the fix. Cosmetically not the prettiest but has worked extremely well. You also can’t see it when the rifle is assembled.
