You will be fine running a bipod, I have no flex in mine. There is plenty of room to open up for a larger barrel. I have opened mine up since the pic, but even as it was in the pic the stock wouldn't make contact with the barrel when loaded up on the bipod.

Doesn't Warne make a ring for Tikka? I will have to see if I can find some info on their site.
EDIT: After going back and reading ALL of Jason's post I saw where he said he just got in some of the Warne rings.

I would be very surprised if it didn't shoot under 1″, I think you will be very happy with the results. I have a T3 270win & 243win and my uncle has 22-250 & 270wsm they all shoot under 1″ with handloads.

I didn't check the before/after weight, but I'm sure that its a little heavier than the plastic stock. I have my 243win set up with the same base/ring combo and both scopes are 2.5×10 Monarchs only the 243 has 50mm obj. and the 270 has 42mm obj. so they should be a real close comparison, I will weigh them both and post up #'s later.

I just put them on the scale and they both come in @ 8.0 lbs.

I was finally able to get out to the range last week to see how it shot with the new B&C stock. I can tell no difference in accuracy with the new stock. Where I can tell a difference is the rifle is much more comfortable to shoot now and the sound transfer through the hollow factory stock is now gone. I just picked up a T3 in 243win a couple weeks ago and will be buying another B&C for it also.

If it were me I would go with the 270wsm. I would buy a long action mag for the extra room and modify the bolt stop if needed to allow for use of the longer mag. I currently have a T3 in 270win really want to rebarrel to wsm as I had one in a Remington rifle and loved the round, but the Rem is being setup for Fclass as funds permit.

I would like to see an option cheaper than factory mags.

Yeah the price is pretty steep, but its the only option I have seen if you want to use a factory mag.
