This is the stock picatinny rail that comes with the Tactical and Super Varmints. It is also a 0 moa rail.
Personally I like the EGW rails. I sell them for $39.95 for a standard in 0 moa or 20 moa.
They are easy to switch scopes and retain point of aim as long as you torque the screws the same each time.

I agree. My .223 never shot over an inch with factory ammo and shoots .25moa consistently with handloads.
The challenge with a Tikka is shooting as good as the gun 😉

That looks great! How are the adjustments, feel, etc.?
Also, what caliber did you get it in?

If you follow his thread to the end the conversion failed to perform.
However, it was what inspired the solution I came up with that can be seen in the aftermarket thread.
Currently I'm working on producing the solution for Tikka owners.

I found both 3 round and 5 round magazines for you. They are both $80 plus shipping.
Let me know if you are interested, I will get you payment instructions, and I will order them for you.
They are here in the US so shipping should be quick.

I'll check tomorrow to see if I can get my hands on some.

Honestly they should shoot identical to each other. They have the same bolt head configuration, action shape, and barrel. The only difference is the stock material will take recoil better.

Personally I like the Holland QD brake. I've been testing the HSS bolt on brake and am very impressed (which is not easy since I am skeptical of most brakes). Unfortunately there is no bolt on solution for sporter barrels… yet.. 😀

There are quite a few similarities in action design. Both are ported with an integral rail. The TRG is a 3 lug bolt and the T3 is a 2 lug bolt.
I took a TRG 42 apart next to a T3 and I would guess the actions were milled from the same external design. Only the bolt release and locking lugs drastically differ in the design.
All Tikka and Sako barrels are made on the same machines and tolerances so there is no difference there.
They incorporate the same recoil lug design. Albeit the TRG's recoil lug works better because of the stock. For the difference in cost, I can easily purchase any aftermarket stock I want to make the T3 “more” functional.
If you purchased one of our Tikka Competition Tactical stocks from the Tikka Store, you would have all the adjust-ability of the TRG stock and still only be out of pocket a third of the cost of the TRG.
Of course, the TRG comes in 338 Lapua… Then again, for the cost difference, have Devin Sinner at Sin-Arms build a custom 338 Sin on your T3 action and you'll have 338 Lapua performance for less money.

Very nice! Keep us posted on how it shoots.
I love the caliber and am interested in how the Whiskey 3 performs in the field.

The TSX is a great bullet for hunting but overkill for plinking.
Winchester was what I used before reloading and it was consistent enough to be fun.

Hi Chad,
Welcome to the forum! I love the fact that we have excellent stock designers here that can help us all better understand the method behind certain styles of stocks.
You can see Chad's designs in our Tikka Store at http://www.tikkaperformance.com
Most of the product lines are not uploaded yet, but Chad's stocks are there.

Welcome Traveler!
I'd love to see a picture of your LSA65 in the “Show Off Your Tikkas” section. There are not many of those here in the US
JDBoy is right, the forum is pretty quiet right now. Amazing since we had over 150,000 hits last month!

That's great! Light weight, shoots well, and looks good. Sounds like you have a great combo.
Now I need to call B&C to see if they'll let me sell those in our Tikka Store
