They are the same gun. The difference is the year of production.
Tikka does have two different schematics. However, the part numbers are all the same.

The Helmick competition tactical stock is by far the best tactical stock we've come across here for Tikkas.

Single loading a Tikka is not a smooth as an open top action. I always get the round started a bit with my pinky before closing the bolt. It helps keep everything smooth.

What would you guys think of an interchangeable bolt system? One in which the handle screwed on and off like some of the aftermarket Remington ones?

I am testing Helmick's ultralight stock right now in my 270 wsm. Straight drop in and weighs the same as the plastic stock. However it is much stiffer!
