All good products, what tikka base you starting with?
Ok for long range target look at 6.5 series. The 6.5×47 is a winner.but not factory barrel.  If I wanted a semi custom gun I would get the Sporter in 6.5×55. The Sporter stock is nearly as adjustable as the trs although I may be wrong on that.

Ah understand, I set up my basement range  and have been fire forming brass using 23.9 gr of Benchmark under 52 gr bthp moly coated.  Moly coated because I want to clean bore well and in future I like that moly coated bullets hit closer to target spot on first shot.

Can you post some pics of your targets?
Also a question, you had a 30 cal Sako barrel (Tikka) re-bored and rifled to 35?  was this cheaper than putting a new barrel on?  I wasn't aware that this was even possible.

If you want the best “factory” ammunition I would direct you to ABM by Brian Litz.  He is Berger's ballistics guy and that ammo is said to be the best you can buy, and you would be hard pressed to handload better.  If you cant get repeatable groups with his ammo, then you have other problems.  With a light rifle and big caliber like the 300 win mag you get significant torque in addition to recoil.  If you are shooting groups from a bipod make sure its not on a hard surface.  The “bounce” you get off of a hard bench is not just distracting it is a group killer.  Also get the hard recoil lug from Mountain tactical.

wow , simply WOW.  beautiful stock but way out of my price range.
Question though, why are they charging more for long action vs short action? All T3s are same as far as actions and mags are concerned.  These guys seem to be milking the precision cow.  I understand that good rigs cost dearly, but I call shenagans when they claim different action lengths require them to charge differently when there are no different action lengths.
Still want one, but rich guys beware.

You mentioned ordering a turret, what scope and rifle combo are you using ?

Wow Dog! Awesome Shooting! any cronograph info?  I am so glad i bought 600 75 gr amaxs when they were on sale!  You have set the standard i aspire to with my Sporter 🙂

do you feel like sharing the final recipe? (all safety and cautions applied of course).

update here is a pic of my high priced 10 round mag from Australia

the short one is 2.24 in. the long round is 2.55 (80 gr smk).  the mag allows for 2.61 according to my Mitutoyo caliper.  I have to do load development when weather allows, but I think it will accommodate the amax. 

Bye the way the new version of this mag is going to be available again soon from Australia from qnivq.jngref@bmrznvy.pbz.nh  He is part of a shooting group that doesnt make magazines for profit, but makes them to promote the sport (as i understand).  they are gearing up to make more and early orders get a discount i believe.  I dont know how much or if it is for non members but its worth looking into.

Limbsaver is good idea.  The boar hunters i have looked at in Cabellas, seem light and recoil is an issue.  In 270 you have a great caliber.  Not sure about rust potential but if stainless, then shoot and clean like any rifle with focus on copper fouling not rust.

I would get the 6.5X55 Sporter if money not an issue.  great caliber and Tikka does the barrel twist right (1 in  eight) (i kept getting an emoji when i used 1:8

T25 is correct on stock, not sure about trigger, but its easy to check em.  also, what do you mean by swivels?

Before I switched to Mountain Tactical (MT) Pic rails for all my Tikkas, I used DNZ Gamekeepers and loved them.  With the MT Gen II pic rails I use a DNZ Freedom Reaper one piece with my Vortex Viper PST and move the scope between my Tikka .223 sporter and 30-06 hunter. 

A tip for anyone that wants to move scopes between rifles that use the same bases:  Instead of setting a zero stop on your scope for a given rifle, set your turret at zero on the bottom of its travel.  Then record your 100 yard zero for each rifle you use the scope on.  In other words, treat your quality scope's turret like a micrometer.  One rifle zero might be 2.14 mills (or Minutes) and another 2.09 mills.  record this info and you can add the drop from your calculator and read the turret.  Thanks to Eric Cortina on You Tube for this tip,  he uses it for switch barrel rifles but the concept is the same.

I have a Tikka T3 Hunter in 30-06 and it likes the 180 gr Hornady light mags (now superformance i believe).  I get 3/4″ groups at 100 yds regularly.
