Ok found a seller that said they had 5 or so 6.5×55 t3 sporters. It was in southern west minnesota USA.
I am still worried about the availability. I'm thinking a road trip just to nail one down. Thing is I have to buy a lot of stuff to make this a deal. I'm gonna go for it debt be dammed I think. -

Hey dog, nice test did you get any velocity info? I will post my data soon as I can (haven't loaded or shot yet)

Is your barrel a 1:10 twist? If it is, you may find lighter bullets will shoot better. If it is a 1:8 twist, a heavier bullet like the Berger 80.5 gr or Hornady A-Max 75 gr might be the way to go.
I have had decent performance from hornady 52 gr bthp in my 1:8 twist T3 Sporter.
