Just purchased an M07 and need mounts. can any one tell me if the dove tail is the standard Tikka width and therefore will Warne Tkka QD or fixed mounts fit?.

I did some research few years back, and if I recall correctly, M66 came out in 1966, M67 a year later, and M07 in 1970. The serial numbers would tell the full story, but one needs access to a book called “Arma  Fennica,” which I do not have.

i ended up ordering a Leupold VX2 and Optilock rings and bases.
im kinda curious why the pin in the optilock bases is much smaller than the drilled hole in the receiver?
i assume i mount it with the pin in the hole and pressed as far back as possible?

Better late than never…

T3 Hunter is available with open sights, at least here in Canada. If you end up getting one, a great mount option is MaSi QD mount. I have two for my M55, giving me the choice of two scopes and irons.
