Tikka O/U
Posted by billmonigold on November 6, 2014 at 3:54 pmI am trying to find some info on an interesting combination gun I have found. It is a Tikka O/U marked 12-76/.222. i found ref to the Ithaca LSA55's, marked 12-70(2 3/4)/.222 but this gun doesn't have Ithaca anywhere on it. it is marked on the left side of the barrel, Armistad Arms(Armory?) in little gold letters. Serial # is in the 60k range. Very nice condition. One knowledgeable gun buddy thought maybe he remembered some were made somewhere besides Finland, (like Turkey or ?). All references to this gun were great, but any other info you might help with (production date or where made, etc) would be greatly appreciated.

Perhaps a licensed version of Tikka M66/M67, or the later M07?
I've got a M07 that breaks down in seconds to three small sections, and always goes “camping” with me… .

I did some research few years back, and if I recall correctly, M66 came out in 1966, M67 a year later, and M07 in 1970. The serial numbers would tell the full story, but one needs access to a book called “Arma Fennica,” which I do not have.
For general interest, please post a photo of your combo. If you find that the rifle impact point “wanders” between shots, let me know – I have a few tips that may correct it.
