wise man once said,  the quality of your contribution far outweighs the quantity of your contribution….

Sad for some forums I visit, the traffic is so slow you wouldn't miss too much if you were only on Monthly… sucks for us who are online every night or scanning forums daily.

I too love hunt reports, technical talk and discussions, I was recently silently booted from a forum in Australia which became a place of friends an not shooting/hunting related discussions, anything slightly controversial was removed an swept under the carpet. that's not what I believe a Forum is about.

Im going to look into some International hunting forums and see if I can throw a few logs on the Camp fire..

Would be happy to do the same here, although I notice things arrreee  q  u i t e

    All good,
    I'll drop in again shortly.

    gday mate, another Aussie here…

regarding the Rings, I had heard dramas until no end about them, so when I got my tikka 308 I was very unsure…

went an hunted the Wonnangatta valley, dropped the rifle in the bush and confirmed Zero that evening out from camp…

Dropped rifle again a few months later and confirmed zero again at a later date..

Id also say the Factory rings are Fine for up to about the 308 class of recoil.

    Cheers

In my T3 lite, ive had good success on Animals aswell as shoting MOA groups with “Varget”(Ar2208) and 150gr Nosler Accubonds…  lower accuracy node but has been fantastic in the field.

id say the .270 would do the job no problem, ive used them for Red stag an big Sambar stags, nice solid projectile will work fine.

failing that the 308 never fails to get the job done!
